My daughter has this disease and has suffered over the past 12 years. For the first 10 she was told it was probably MS and she went to psychiatrists, group therapy etc. Finally she was told that nobody knew what she had---she would have to live with the pain, take an over the counter pain relief, etc. After spending a lot of money on CT scans MRI's and doctor after doctor. a very good one diagnosed her and has prscribed her with a pain medication she can manage. She is doing much better and works every day, goes skiing, biking and hiking now with only small residual effects. Her life now has meaning and purpose, thanks to a wise physician who delved deeply enough to recognize it was not "all in her head " I know you feel badly mom, but he can find relief and get on with his life. Good luck Ps. She is on Ultram
