I would like to respond to your message regarding Hidradenitis. I have had this condition since I was 14 years old. I have had several surguries both with plastic surgeons and demotological surgeons at University of California San Francisco. I also recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I had several of the cysts in my groin area during delivery and it was not a threat to either the baby or myself. Three weeks ago I had a large excision of three cysts which were connected under my left arm. If you find the right surgeon the scars will be minimal and believe me I would take the scar any day over having these continually pop up. I had a plastic surgeon remove one from my face and you can not even see the scar. I have had several taken off my back as well. I can honestly say that I know exactly how you and your daughter feel. It is not an easy thing to have but I would 100% recommend the surgery and do not be afraid of it. It helps! Please contact me if you have any other questions. Good luck.
