A couple of years back I got a gift certificate for a massage, so I went. The lady was told that I had fibromyalgia and she said she wouldn't cause any problems. I had the massage and the next day I was in severe pain. The pain started in the mid-back area and went around my rib cage to the front. My doctor started treating me for the pain, which was excruciating. I endured the pain for about 3 weeks and then it subsided. I will never get another massage. That was the only thing that we could narrow the pain down to.
