I feel my weekly massages saved me for a few years when my FMS was at a high peak. You have to go to someone who is trained to work with FMS patients and massage, someone who knows to start out very slowly and gently and increase pressure/change techniques as needed. Other techniques besides "deep rubbing" should be used, i.e. cranial-sacaral, reverse muscle tension.... Try someone else who is qualified and experienced with Fibromyalgia patients. Massages can be a savior!
