I was diagnosed with MG almost 10 years ago. In the recent months I have experienced severe exacerbations requiring multiple hospitializations and recently 33 days in UCDMC with three consecutive intubations and a tracheostomy. I am undergoing several different treatments and would like to discuss them with folks. I have been on Mestinon 90 mg every three hours, plasmapheresis (5 courses), IVIG and next week I will receive Cytoxan (chemo). It is suspected that I have thymic tissue that returned after my thymectomy in 1990, so there may be the chance of having surgery again. Please provide comments, suggestions.
