My one and a half year old grandbaby is seriously developmentally delayed. We have searched for possible causes and discovered her symptons most match that of SBS. I understand that specific tests can be done to diagnose this, but if it is determined to be SBS, what legal ramifications are there? I'd like to encourage my daughter to get these tests done on her baby, but Im afraid the authorities could step in. I highly suspect the baby's father who has a history of violence. Should we push for these tests, or just continue as we are with various therapies?
