I have also heard that having surgery on sinuses does absolutely nothing for people. I also have chronic sinus problems, but only a mild case. Mine are strictly caused by ALLERGIES. As long as I take Claritin and use Nasonex, my sinus problems are controllable - they rarely get to the infected stage. But, you might not have pollen-related allergies, you MIGHT have FOOD allergies - which don't show up on the usual "allergy tests." My boyfriend (he's 60, no longer a boy)(I'm 55) just told me a story he heard on the radio last week. I'm pretty sure it was a true story. A man had been sneezing non-stop for over 30 years. NO ONE could help him or explain why it was happening. FINALLY about a year ago, someone suggested strongly that he go back to an Allergy Specialist and check on a FOOD allergy problem. Sure enough! He kept a diary of everything he ate or drank for one month, and then did the routine of eliminating one item per day, etc. I'm sorry, right at this moment I can't remember what the food item was, but it was an everyday food...like bread. When my boyfriend gets home, I'll ask him; he'll remember. But, as soon as the man eliminated ALL bread (?) from his diet, he stopped sneezing.
