Hi. I read your story and I would like to tell you not to be scared, but it's much easier said than done. I found out that I had cervical dysplasia in 1990 and also had Laser surgery to get rid of it the same year. (almost immediately after finding out) From what I understand,there are 5 stages to this dysplasia and I was in my 4th stage. Mine, thank God, was pretty much centered around the cervix and had not spread any further. Doc said that if I had left it just a few months longer,it would have spread and they would not have been able to get it all. But, with A LOT of prayer, I was going to be OK. I had the surgery and went home the same day! It took me about a week to really recover, but now, many years later, there has been no sign of it returning. I would be happy to talk to you more about this if you would like to E-mail me. I know what must be going through your mind, but remember that there is MUCH power in PRAYER. Has the doctor told you whether or not it is confined to one area? If so, they may be able to get it all. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and that I know the emotions that go along with this. Hopefully they will be able to treat you and you will not need any further treatment, such as radiation or chemo. Make sure you always have your yearly checkups after surgery, so that they can keep an eye on you and make sure it doesn't reoccur. God Bless and Good Luck. Wendi
