I also have chronic progressive MS but thru exhaustive research and talking to numerous doctors and specialists, there are no meds that are now therapeutic for us. I have been on steroids for 7 years and it does help to mask symptoms but the side effects are terrible so I just recently went off of it. I wish I had some better news for us, but for right now, our treatment seems to be symptomatic...taking care of pain, muscle spasticity, etc. If I come across anything else, I'll be sure to get back with you.
