I had this same problem for a year before I was diagnose with hyperthroidism. When my thyroid was blocked, my eyes improved greatly. Ask your doctor to do a TSH and a T4 test. One out of eight women over age 35 have a thyroid condition. Men (e.g., George Bush) also can have under or over active thyoid conditions.
