I have had an acute phlebitis in my rt arm after having several attempts to start IVs while hosp. Cleared that with antibiotic and hot packs. I have had a DVT in both legs. Used coumadin for a year each tme after a hospital stay and heparin drip. I notice when I am tired that the legs ache severely, but other than that don't seem to have problems. Each of the DVTs are the result of injury. One, I slipped on ice and fel against the step of our van and briused the leg and the other I slipped on ice and fractured the femur up inside of my artificial knee.
