These doctors need to research more intelligently. I think that there is a definite link between hypoglycemia and headaches. I had it many years ago and spent $1500.00 and saw 7 different doctors, including two neurologist, and was a guinea pig for every new antidepressant on the market, till the 2nd neurologist discovered hypoglycemia and perscribe Elivil, to regulate my sleep and a diabetic diet with moderate amounts of fruit sugar to control it. I always suffered moderate to severe headaches when my sugar dropped. There was a definite link because when I ate before it got too bad I could control it but if I let it get real bad before I ate then I could count on suffering severe episodes untill I layed down in a dark room and took a Darvecet. My headaches were always bad in the evenings if I didnt eat and I would even wake up with them, sometimes they would last for days. But I found that if I could prevent my sugar from getting too low I did not suffer from them.
