Jeanne, my daughter is 24 yrs old. She was told she has herpes when she was expecting her second child. She had to have a C-section due to herpes, or the baby would be infected. The father of her two children is in prison, a real loser in every way. It took a long time for her to have any confidence again, but she is now dating a guy her age who loves her kids and her. Don't let your friend discourage you (is he really a "friend"?) My daughter is responsible for her choices, but she also is working very hard at bettering herself for her children and herself, and I'm proud of that.
