Tania: My mother also had leiomyosarcoma. We found an excellent Dr. in Santa Monica, Ca named Dr. Sant P. Chawla, MD. He was wonderful with my mother and kept her alive for four years when MD Anderson had told her she only had maybe 6 months to live. He has done considerably research on this type of cancer. My best wishes and prayers go out to you. I know your feeling on it being a rare cancer so nothing much is done as far as research. Please know my thoughts are with you.
