Dear Tania, On August 4, 2000 I underwent a total hysterectomy for what has been diagnosed as Grade 2-3 endometrial leiomyosarcoma. This nasty disease has metastasized to my lungs. I have since completed my third (of six) courses of chemotherapy and a recent CT has shown that all of the tumors in my lungs have responded to the chemotherapy. I know that the five year survival rate is only 10-15% but I have confidence that I will be one of these survivors! I am also dismayed to find that, due to the rarity of this disease, that not much is being done in clinical trials or research. That sure doesn't help us, does it? Please be strong and know that there are people praying for you! Patti
