I was just diagnosed with asthma, where my only symptoms were a cough. I went to a local clinic and have been through four courses of antibiotics. I finally went to a pulmonary specialist and am being treated for asthma. I was prescribed two inhalants, Zertec (sp?) for allergies and Singulair for the asthma. I have been on prednisone for about two months and have tapered down twice to 10 mg.; at about which time, my cough has returned. I have a follow-up appointment in about two weeks. We'll see how it goes.
