I've had the disease for almost 12 years now. I flared back in '89 and spent 2 months in the hospital eating only liquid diets. After that I was OK for about 5 years but with extreme working conditions I flared again. I have been on Asolfadine and prednisone (the latter when a problem occurs). I enjoy a normal life but try to remember where toilets are whereever I go. I also try not to drink too much or eat too much. I hope this is useful
