Thank you to everyone who replied to my initial message. My daughter was in the body cast for 6 weeks due to hip surgery, got it off, and within 3 hours, due to the fragility of her leg, she broke her right leg right above the growth plate above her knee. We don't know how she did it, because she was not allowed to move. Anyway, today, 4 weeks later, her cast came off, she has lots of new bone growth, and the orthopedist just wants her to wear a brace for 2 weeks. He said she can stand or walk if she wants, but don't push it. He won't have to worry as I plan to "wrap her in cotton wool" if I can find enough!!!
