Seek out a physical therapist who specializes in "balance disorders". I did after ten years of vertigo, and the type of feeling you describe. They'll evaluate you and they've heard it all! They may do the Epley maneuver on you which although induces the spinning, if you only have the ear canal crystals causing this, you are blessed! Because this type can be cured as much as anything can be cured (HIGH success rate) by these maneuvers, which move the ear crystals out of the inner ear canals and they go back into your system where they are washed out They can also see if your eyes, yes your eyes, are compensating to "keep balance", it's all to do with the brain and they eyes. Your eyes take in things and if your balance feels off, they will try co make youstable. Same with your neck muscles. These are the three main things that compensate for vertigo. Inner ear, usually from head injury or simple virus at some point, eye compensetory and neck muscles. I have all three :) But I've found a great PT who helps! It is going to take a long time for me, because I'm the most stubborn case he's probably seen.
