Dear Grandpa, I had a floppy baby 19 years ago. He slept most of his first year, but he was able to suck (I breast fed). He was slow to sit/crawl/walk, but did so in his own time. He is now finishing his first year of college, and is perfect! So hang in there, things may be a little slow at first, but by 2 - 3 years my boy was all caught up! If you see anything that really concerns you, just get another opinion, prferably at a Children's Hospital if possible. My biggest concern would be improper diagnosis. If the child is improving and growing, even if it is at a slow rate, things should eventually be fine. Enjoy this beautiful grandbaby, my floppy baby has been a constant source of joy!
