I have Auto-Immune problems,closely related to Lupus. Yes, Anti-depressants do work amazingly well for pain blockers and I have been using them for this purpose only for some time. I too, was concerned about taking something, I thought was not appropriate, or necessary, but I am amazed how well they made life much happier for me. Hope this helps you as much as it did me for my neck, arms and shoulders. Good luck, I know it helped me. I don't want to go back to the pain I was in before.
