Hi. I'm 42 yrs old. I too have fibromyalgia along with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue & Connective Tissue Disorder, so believe me when I say I understand your pain. It's hard finding the right medication for the pain. I have tried quite a few over the years. I was given Oxycontin, but not for any of the above mention ailments, but for pain after shoulder surgery. It did help the pain, but I don't think I'd want to take it on a regular basis. I don't think I could function all day & take that medication. Right now I take Celebrex & Ultram 50mg (2, 3-4x a day). I can't say it stops the pain, but it does help. Nothing seems to stop the pain. Each day it's just what degree of pain am I going to have today kind of thing. On a good day it may only be a 3 out of 10. On a bad day it may be a 8.5 or 9. I've had a lot of both. I try to just keep moving, because I'm afraid if I stop I won't start again. If your doctor isn't listening to you get a new one. There are plenty of good doctors out there that understand what we suffers are going through. Good luck & if I hear of any new info that might help us I'll post it.
