Are you having aches all over - sort of like the Flu? If so, you may have Fibromyalgia instead of Polymyalgia Rheumatica. I have them both and the "Poly" is usually in my neck and shoulders. My friend has it and it started in her knees and hips - could walk one day and looked like a 100 year old the next. "Poly" is helped tremendously by Prednisone but nothing, that I've tried, helps Fibromyalgia. Good luck!
