I'm replying to Lucy's message, I don't have hypothyroidism, but I am a severe hypoglycemic, due to over insulin production diagnosed by a doctor, which I've had since I was an infant. My concern is the heavy metal accumulation you were talking about. I have some dental amalgum under my gold crowns, & I talked to both my Dentist & Doctor about this, but they weren't concerned, my Doctor said it is strictly my high insulin levels causing my low blood sugars. However, I asked my Dentist if he would advise removing the amalgum & replacing them with a non-amalgum substance, he didn't advise this, as he gave me an example of another patient he had with similar problems, which he replaced with non-amalgum fillings, but the symptoms still remained. So, what I'm doing, is when I need dental work done, I request a non-amalgum substance. If you, Lucy, or anyone has any further advice. PLEASE share it with me. Good luck to you Lucy, and everyone who shares these concerns.
