My son had ADHD and the school was a determent not an asset. Take him to a health care psychologist and have him referred to a psychiatrist where they can give him a battery of tests to determine many things the school won't be bothered with. My son had a chemical imbalance due to heredity. He was first on Imprimine and then on Wellbutrin. When he was a teenager, he refused medication but now almost 20 is severely depressed again and moved back home. He is exceptionally intelligent and hasn't attempted any school of higher learning. But I know that tests by a psychiatrist, not psychologist, will give you some answers.
