Paula, My son is in kindergarten and was diagnosed a little over two years ago. The ped. neurologist didn't suggest OT and we fought for it this summer and finally got it. However, in his interim, his teacher said that he was having difficulties with pencil to paper tasks - wasn't sure if it was just a matter of learning to pace himself better. To me, with all that I have read, it is classic dyspraxia. I have gotten some wonderfully helpful books, but the best thing you could do is educate yourself and prepare to do a child study meeting through your school when your child gets ready to enter kindergarten. Please feel free to email with with any questions. I can share with you a lot more - just didn't want to put it all in a post.
