Pam
I have been reading your messages and wonder if anyone has any advice. I have been having problems since May, 2000. Ortho said it was tendinitis of my rt.elbow and shoulder from gardening. Got a cortisone shot in my elbow which helped trmendously. Still had terrible pain in right shoulder and shoulder blade with muscle spasms in shoulder blade and right forearm. Also wrist pain and a frozen shoulder. Got better after 28 sessions of PT. 2 days later spasmed out getting out of a chair!!! Went back to Ortho-had MRI of shoulder. It showed tendinopathy with thickening in the rotator cuff and advanced hypertrophic changes in the acromioclavicular joint, with impingement. The Ortho said the impingement was the cause of the pain along with the tendinopathy. Made sense. Went to an accupuncturist who helped with pain and got my strngth back in right arm I had lost. Now 3 months into that, it got worse again, so went back to Ortho. This time they did MRI of neck. Showed large herniated disk on left side at C4-5. But pain has always been on right!!!! This is confusing. Also, showed congenital narrowing of the spinal canal, and mild cervical spondylosis at c3-4, c5-6, and c6-7 with spurs and diffuse disk bulging at these levels. I am scheduled to see a neurosugeon in a week. Also plan on getting a 2nd and maybe a 3rd opinion. Do not know which way to turn. Any ideas?
