Hi, I have had chronic hip bursitis for the past 4 years. I have been on crutches for the past 2 years. People who get it often get over it in a few months. But, since I have had it for so long, I saw a specialist and he has patients that have it chronically, and he doesn't know why, and says it may not go away. Mine is from unknow causes, and has been chronic for 4 years now. Symptoms are very sharp stabbing pain, and sharp shooting pain. Also, dull aching pain is common, and tenderness to the touch. Hurts to sit, walk, and when terribly inflamed hurts even resting. I have tried everything medically, shots in to the bursa, tens unit, pushing a drug in with a tens unit, PT, chiropractic, kinesiology, etc...ruled out everything else with MRI and MRI arthrogram, and bone scan. The exciting thing is that for the last 5 1/2 weeks I have been trying something new and so far it is working! I have been in much less pain, have sat up and gotten around more in the last few weeks than in the same time span in the last 4 years! I am pretty excited. It is not yet well, and I am still on crutches, but I am told it will take time and I am very excited about the results so far. I started these nutrients because the lady that I got them from - her mom had the same condition I had, as well as Reumatiod Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism (I have hypothyroidism too and after 3 weeks I cut my Synthroid by 1/4, and proved it by a blood test). In a few months her symptoms of Fibro, and the bursitis were gone. Her RA was greatly improved, and after a year mostly gone. So, I was desperate for something, since I had tried everything, and nothing was helping until now.
