I went thru similar pain for over 10 yrs. actually about 12 yrs. spent alot of $$$ on xrays, test, I did have arthritis..and left with fms/cfs after a car accident. anyway... I can not tell you how many times i was "patted on the back gently as the rheumatologist ushered me back out the door" and saying " I hope we will see some improvement in that hip." . When I had xrays many times things such as...."we didn't see anything wrong...didn't see anything with disc..etc..." of course not... disc and tissue injuries DO NOT show up on x rayss. I had a disc in my back that slipped in and out... buldged... FOR YEARS...THEY LET ME GO FOR YEARS...IN HORRIBLE PAIN> my butt would occassionally swell up hugh... which all drs. said they had no idea what that was... well when the darn disc finally ruptured... they did surgey and finally SAW what it was... when they saw it..they still tried to deny what they saw... OF course they saw the disc..and fixed it..but were shocked at the TENDON that wraps around the disc. it was dried..atrophied... in horrible shape...they tried to clean it up and re set it... I am better now (1 yr later) WHAT they saw on tendon...is PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS... what is rare is that I do not have outward manifestations of psoriasis... well a few tiny "dots" on my upper legss... Physical therapy CAN NOT HEAL OR FIX A DISC... It can only help you cope till you GET IT FIXED. IF the slip out of place...IT is BECAUSE there is something WRONG with it.. IT IS DAMAGED> IT is WEAKENED AND iss BULDGING... get it fixed...and save yourself years of grief and pain... DO NOT WAIT UNTIL IT RUPTURES.. betty onefineseamstres@aol.com
