My father has suffered a cardiac arrest 11 days ago. He is now beginning to 'emerge' from his coma and I have many questions as to how much function he will recover. I know alot of it depends on how much damage was done and how long he was without oxygen to the brain. I am fearful he may be in a persistant vegitative state. Since he was without oxygen for about 5 minutes. Can you please tell me how long your husband was without oxygen and how long it took him to 'come out' of his coma. I am trying to get some parellels and information is difficult to come by. I also wanted to get info on the hyperbaric treatments if you could pass that along as well I would appreciate it very much.
