My daughter was born in 1982 w/ Polands. She is missing major and minor pecs, 3 ribs, no breast all of which left her with a very large hole on the right side of her body. She had reconstructive surgery in 1999 using a muscle from her back to fill in the missing ribs and muscle area. The implant they used was not as large as it needed to be (in order for the muscle to heal, they did not want to put too much pressure on it)but she had that one removed this summer and replaced with the correct size and now she looks like she should. We are very proud of her results. Her original surgery took place in Oregon but we live on the east coast where, by the way the Lord works, her Dr has recently moved about 2 hrs away. The surgeon who replaced her implant is also another excellent dr. Please email me with Poland's Syndrome in the subject line and I will be more than happy to give you the information that I have. I've got almost 20 yrs experience and I really feel that I could help. God bless you.
