Hey all! I am on day 2 post-op and feeling good. I don't hurt whatsoever until I get ready to drink, then the pain on a scale of 1-10 is about a 5. The meds control this really well. I have to say that I am not feeling near the pain that lots of others have felt in the earlier posts. I have heard that the pain is worse than childbirth - NOT EVEN CLOSE! I am glad I read the posts and was geared for the worse cuz it hasn't been bad at all. My ears are fine, no pain. It doesn't hurt to breathe like some have said. I had the UPPP done so it was a little more intense than just a tonsilectomy. I am eating jello and popsicles and have even eaten a cracker, softened with water. I am looking forward to the chicken and stars soup. Make sure you do use a vaporizer (to keep your throat moist) and drink lots and lots of water. The hairball feeling in the back of my throat is definately there, but it is not painful at all. I agree with a previous post from Gary - prayer works wonders so have everyone you know praying for a quick recovery! Update you all later!!
